Hi Everyone! Stephen, my family, and I went on a two day trip to Poland during which we stayed in Kraków. On the first day we got to explore the beautiful city itself, try some pierogi (unfortunately I forgot to film those!) and enjoy the hustle and bustle of this college town.
On the second day we visited something a little more sobering; the extermination camp, Auschwitz-Birkenau. A truly haunting experience. This is the site where millions of people were systematically murdered. While the largest portion of victims where Jews, we often forget that Poles, Gypsies, Jehovah’s Witnesses, homosexuals, handicapped, mixed-race people, and political prisoners also met their demise in this camp and others like it.
