Hi Everyone!

I’ve been toying with the idea of doing a ‘life update’ for a while but I’ve been reluctant to do a video on it. Then one day one of you commented on Instagram to do a blog post; why didn’t I think of that?! (and thank you for the idea of course)

So here we are, update time:

We are still living with my in-laws. It was supposed to be a temporary thing, maybe 2-3 months, but we have almost been here a year. We were hoping to move onto campus again but the waitlist was so long we never got the chance to. Luckily they live kind of close to campus, which has allowed us to stay on the waitlist without having to be tied into leases or anything like that. We have been so grateful to have been able to stay with them.

What’s next for us? After Stephen’s finals we will be heading to Europe for two months, spending time in the Netherlands and Spain. I’ll be working remotely the whole time (I still can’t believe how lucky I am). After that we will start apartment hunting in San Francisco again, and hopefully move to a more “permanent” place in early fall (I use quotation marks because I’ve never lived anywhere longer than 6 years straight, so who knows).

What have I been up to? Work, mainly. On the weekends I’ve been doing/finishing projects that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time:

I’ve finally finished my San Francisco cut-out
I’ve always wanted to start a square-foot garden so Stephen and I made one for my mother-in-law (who loves gardening). Currently growing: tomatoes, zucchini, corn, basil, and some kale and spinach left over from February.
I’ve been wanting to paint on the back of my large IKEA photo on canvas

I must say, I’m excited to start apartment hunting. While we don’t have much stuff, I do like feathering my nest. I expect that once we settle into our new home the frequency for posts and videos will go up again (house tours, routines, and how-to videos).
Thank you so much for reading!
p.s. Let me know in the comments what kind of content you’d like to see in the future
(I’ll go ahead and say right now that I won’t be talking about money/religion/politics and specifics on what I or Stephen do for a living)
